We’ll be celebrating the efforts of thousands upon thousands of community-led initiatives that stand in the face of our global crises. Permaculture gardens, tool libraries, transition initiatives, co-housing projects - there is much we are already doing as empowered citizens.

Cynthia Tina is the Lead Coordinator of the North American Day of Sustainable Communities. She will present the initiative and guide us through networking activities designed to strategize our efforts for a more regenerative, just, and inclusive world. Cynthia is a network-weaver in the ecovillage and intentional communities movement. She’ll be joining us as a stop on her West Coast Communities Tour. Cynthia resides between two community projects, one in Slovenia, a small European country, and the other in Vermont, USA. Betsy Morris is a cohousing coach and consultant at Planning for Sustainable Communities. She offers a mix of applied research, writing, data management, planning, social media, and related technical assistance for geographical and online community development. Betsy organizes with Cohousing California and Berkeley East Bay Gray Panthers, as well as conducts research projects focused on intentional communities. She lives in Berkley Cohousing.
